This weekend marks the start of the second half of this year’s WSK Super Master Series where Callum Bradshaw will race on the famous La Conca circuit for the very first time. La Conca is one of the most iconic circuits in Europe with every big European and International making an appearance over the years including the CIK-FIA World and European Championships, WSK events and the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals.
The circuit itself is an extremely tough and which has an extreme amount of rubber laid down to the point where drivers have found their shoes sticking to the circuits on track walks. This makes the driving tough and kart setup even tougher.
Callum has never raced at the circuit before so will be facing a tough challenge being one of the only drivers in the OK field to have never raced there before. His WSK season so far has been one filled with lots of promise, but also lots of bad luck too.
The opening round saw him hit mechanical problems of finals day and round two he was able to get into the top 20 despite two incidents in the final. This round Callum will be hoping his luck finally turns around and more steps forward in pace should be able to lead him to a result he deserves.
Unlike rounds one and two the weather looks to be dry all weekend which should allow Callum plenty of time over testing to prepare for the racing.
Callum currently sits 22nd in the championship and will be hoping to move forward this weekend.
Ahead of the weekend Callum commented: “From what I have heard La Conca is an impressive track. I haven’t tested there, but hopefully I will get my head around it quickly. I am hoping for some good results as I’m doing well in the championship so far.”
